Hi, We have had someone else report this error to us recently, we believe it is in relation to the area of the program that checks for disallowed dependency loops (where event A is dependent on event B, and B is also dependent on A). Due to the number of "based on" relationships you have, this might be slowing down this process. If it is possible, it would be helpful if you could send your timeline to firstname.lastname@example.org. We keep all information confidential, and it will allow us to confirm that this is the issue and optimise a solution that is not so slow. Jess
Hi, We have now solved this problem and a fix will be available in our next update. Jess
Hi, I have a similar problem. I have a timeline that I generated from Sc rivener this has a number of nested folders. Having linked almost everything I deleted two events from the source and then the timeline. This caused problems with the based on hanging. I overcame this by making the events consecutive then dependent via right click though I was unable to modify the offset. I'm not sure how but it seems to have hard written the date. Next, I went to the start of the timeline because I want to go through it and formalise the duration of each event. This is a linear timeline with each event sequential. There are no complex dependencies. Each time I try to edit the duration or offset the whole application hangs and provides no indication whether it is doing anything. In task manager it looks like nothing is happening. I am running on Windows 10.
Hi, If you are able to send through your timeline to email@example.com, then we would be able to confirm whether it is the same problem that was mentioned above and for which the fix will available in the next update, or whether this is something different. Jess
