I believe I may have just responded to this via email also, but for others with the same issue: It sounds like you might have the Disk Image (.dmg file) open, and may be trying to run the application from within the Disk Image. This is the likely cause of your problems. Disk images are a Mac file format that acts somewhat like a read-only CD or USB drive, except contained within a file on your computer. It is a common way for applications to be distributed on Mac OS outside the App Store. When a Disk Image is opened, it appears on the Desktop like other removeable media. You will be able to confirm the Disk Image is open by looking in a Finder window. The Disk Image should show up in the left hand side bar. Closing the window from a Disk Image isn’t enough to remove it, you need to actually “Eject” it. You should be able to “eject” the Disk Image either by clicking on the Eject icon alongside it’s name in the Finder sidebar, or by right clicking on it and choosing Eject from the context menu. I think you can also drag it from the Desktop to Trash, which should conve rt to an Eject symbol when you do so. Note that if you haven’t already, you need to open the Disk Image window and drag the Aeon Timeline application into your Applications folder before ejecting it, so that the software is installed and will run correctly.
