Arc

I want to show an event taking place in several arcs. Can I do that? For example, slavery was abolished in the mid-Atlantic and New England and the Northwest Territories between 1780 and 1804. If an arc is a geographical region, how can I show this event in these three regions?

You can assign multiple arcs per event easily in the inspector. Just click on the green plus sign next to where it says Arcs (under the Roles tab).

Alas, there is no green plus sign under "Roles". There is one next to Participant and next to Observer, but the only thing next to Arc is a rectangle with a down arrow to choose a single option.

Got it! I needed to change the setting... I found the place to make it possible to do that. Yay!

Excellent news! Happy multi-arcing! Out of curiosity, and because it might help others here, what setting did you change?

I went to the top menu bar and clicked on "Settings" Then went to the "Entity Types" in the left hand column and clicked on "Arc" In the right hand column there is a rectangle beside "Roles" and it reads "Arc" Below that is a click box that was unchecked, but now is checked... It reads "Allow multiple per event" And now it works! Hope it helps someone else.
