App crashed

App crashed twice this morning. 1. Crashed when I opened it up to add events, 2. Closed app, went back in, it froze on the cover page where all the time lines are listed.

Hi, Thanks for the report. When you say crashed, did it freeze/hang, or did it die and disappear? If it crashed, then Test Flight should hopefully send me the crash logs. Do you remember specifically what you were doing at the time of the crash? I.e. What action in particular may have triggered it? Also, when you say it froze the second time, was that when attempting to open a timeline, or did it lock up before you could try that? Was it completely frozen, or could you still tap Create and see the templates, or tap the Settings icon and see the popover?

The first time, it closed out completely. Second time, it just hung there with the selected timeline grayed out. I closed the app down then.

Okay thanks. Can it open that timeline now? And if you are on iCloud, can the Desktop open that file? I wonder if the file got "locked" as a result of the crash, and that is why it won't open.

I prefer to use Dropbox, so not using iCloud at the moment. Just tried accessing the timline and it’s not opening - the “opening swirly” (is there a real name for it?) keeps going round and round, but no opening.

Ok thanks. If you instead try to create a new timeline, does that open okay?

Okay, the app keeps not loading up the timelines I’ve already made, it did open up a new Projects timeline . The opening swirly indicator keeps running OR the app just shuts down so I’m looking at my main screen.

Thanks. Sounds like the files have become corrupted somehow. There was probably an underlying bug that has caused it. If I can get hold of one of those files, it should be pretty quick for me to find and fix the bug. Are you up to date with 0.9.2?

iOS 11.1.2 is the current operating system on my iPad.

Oh, and yes, I updated the app, too, to the most recent incarnation. :-)
