If all else fails you can simply delete the time in the inspector. I'm sure someone will come along with a more elegant way.
Hi, Craig is correct, if you do not wish to have a time for your events, then you can just delete it from the inspector. When you create an event initially, the default date has a time if the timeline is zoomed in enough. If you do not wish to have a time by default, then zoom out a bit before you add the event, and the precision of the default date will change. Jess
Thanks, Jess, but I'm not finding that. If I create a new event when I am zoomed out all the way, it still shows the the time on the new event. Maybe I'm missing something? See https://i.imgur.com/ymPgqAY.png Thanks.
Hi, Sorry, my mistake, if you add a new event by double clicking on the timeline, then it chooses the precision of the default date based on your zoom level, however if you are adding a new event by clicking the plus sign or via the Timeline menu, then it will still have the time. The date displayed will always be the same regardless of your zoom level - the zoom level just determines the default date when you add a new one. So if you date has a time component it will always display it. Jess
That worked! I'm good to go -- I will edit the existing events that show the time, but zooming out and adding new ones by double clicking will be perfect going forward. Thanks so much!
