There are coincidences and then there are synchronicities. Since I've read Great Decisions, Perfect Timing, I'm much more aware of synchronicity (particularly with people). How about you?

Just this weekend, I was taking a road trip with my partner from Portland to Lake Tahoe for a wedding. While she was driving, I started peering at passing cars and I thought about what a trip it would be if I were to look over and see someone I know. I mentioned this and we started talking about the chances, and running into friends in airports and other cities. The very next morning, on a whim, I decided to take the car into South Tahoe for coffee and WiFi and stopped along the way to snap some photos. While I rarely post on Facebook, I shared a simple panorama with the caption "hello Tahoe!" Mere seconds later, a friend replied that she was in Tahoe and within a few exchanges, we discovered that we were both near South Tahoe and setup a brunch date. There, I learned that they came for a different wedding, had left Portland roughly the same time we did and were planning a similar route back. Despite living in the same city, our schedules rarely align to see each other so I especially enjoyed this synchronicity.
