I thank Advindicate.com for interviewing Mr. Wohlberg and post his responses for everyone to see his opinions concerning this new theory that has arisen among our Adventist people. While much of his reasoning is based in inference and not facts. As an ambassador for Jesus Christ, I personally respect his opinion and hope that he will consider this response and its contents as I have done so to his. I will also appeal to Advindicate.coms administrators to not be bias toward this topic until everyone has the opportunity to hear both sides of this topic and then let the weight of evidence bare sway. Private Theory Mr. Wagoner, The 2520 is not a "private theory". The "private theory" you are describing is a precious truth that was rediscovered by Mr. William Miller as the Christians were recovering from the dark ages of the reign of the antichrist. It is not "private" as it was taught by all the leading minster's in this great awakening time period. It is only private to our people today because people prefer a more ecumenical platform, the platform that was laid at the beginning of our MOVEMENT! IN A NUTSHELL The interpretation does not come from vrs. 18,21,24,27. By the way I think you meant vrs. 28, not 27. But it is not so. If you possess the 1843 as you mentioned you can clearly see it mentions Lev.26:28-34, so right of the bat you've made a mistake. For evidence see link http://the2520.com/original_1843_prophecy_chart.htm. You mention that the four warnings of "seven times" punishment "supposedly refer to one time period" with the day for a year prophecy rule [which is Mr. millers 10th rule]. the word supposedly implies doubt as to if this is a correct method. For the student of prophecy this is the only way to study and understand Gods' holy word.Other examples in the holy scriptures teach just that principal. Read the account of Joseph and the butler and baker in Gen. 40:8-19 and you'll see 3 branches= 3days & 3 baskets=3days. Also Gen. 41:1-7,17-24. It teaches the same principal. I believe two examples are worthy enough for contemplation, but the Word of God says in the mouth of two or three witnesses that the matter would be established (2Cor.13:1). My third an final proof text that the "seven times"mention in Lev. 26 refer to only one time period of 2520 years in found in the book of Rev.12:6,14. There you see two time periods that when calculated amount to the same sum of 1260. As you see evidence that it does not violence to Gods word that multiple time periods can refer to "one time period". Again seven times "supposedly means" seven years According to the bible, specifically prophetic time, we as 7th day Adventist know and believe that a day equals a year. According to Daniel 7:25,11:24,12:7 and Rev. 12:14 that a time equals a year in bible prophecy. Once again the "seven times" being "seven years" in in complete harmony with the teachings of Gods holy word. How did this "theory" began in Adventism? I'll give you the true understanding of how this "theory" began in Adventism. It begins in the book of Revelation Chapter 10 ( which everyone who professes to be 7th day Adventist should understand and be taught. It prophesied the beginning and the present message and mission of our people. This is what was mentioned in the wonderful book The Great Controversy Pg. 661.1. If you study your bibles and believe his prophet you'll see that Jesus Christ did and is indeed leading this group of advent believers FROM IT'S INCEPTION!!! DIRECTED BY THE HAND OF THE LORD What dose a director do? If you really believe the SOP. Then would would then have to believe that Jesus Christ placed the 2520 "right beside the 490,1260,1290,1335 and 2300 time prophecies. THE MISTAKE PRIMARILY HAD TO DO WITH 2300 DAYS? Once again this is not true. Let's let someone involved directly with this time period give her testimomy! Quoting from the pen of inspiration found in Early Writings pg.236 we read[[[ " THE HAND OF THE LORD WAS REMOVED FROM THE FIGURES]]], and the [[[MISTAKE]]] was explained. They saw that the The hand of the Lord was removed from the figures, and the mistake was explained. They saw that the prophetic periods reached to 1844, and that the same evidence which they had presented to show that the[[[ PROPHETIC PERIODS]]] closed in 1843, proved that they would terminate in 1844. [[[PROPHETIC PERIODS]]] reached to 1844, and that the same evidence which they had presented to show that the [[[PROPHETIC PERIODS]]] closed in 1843, proved that [[[THEY]]]would terminate in 1844. (emphasis mine) The mistake had to do with the prophetic PERIODS that supposedly ended in 1843 but were found to end in 1844, not "primarily the 2300 days as Mr. Wohlberg mentions. Either he is giving false testimony ignorantly or he has the intent to deceive people purposely, God judge! There is more than one prophecy that ended in 1844, not just the 2300 day as many would have you to believe. But although men may speak and lie, the 1843 chart and the SOP "shall speak, and not lie". God Truly is leading His people back to our foundations as He desired for us to have never had step off! And according to the prophet the foundations at the beginning of our movement. Brothers and sisters and be not deceived by the sayings of men, no matter what there position or influence may be! Take you bibles and the SOP and look up the following references: Ps 11:3, Ps, 82:5, Isa. 58:12, Jer. 6:16, Am. 9:11,and the SOP says the same thing in the following quotes:"Let none seek to tear away the foundations of our faith,--the foundations that were laid at the beginning of our work, by prayerful study of the Word and by revelation. Upon these foundations we have been building for more than fifty years. Men may suppose that they have found a new way, that they can lay a stronger foundation than that which has been laid; but this is a great deception. "Other foundation can no man lay than that is laid." [1 Corinthians 3:11.] In the past, many have undertaken to build a new faith, to establish new principles; but how long did their building stand? It soon fell; for it was not founded upon the Rock. " {GW 307.1} " We have, as had John, a message to bear of the things which we have seen and heard. God is not giving us a new message. We are to proclaim the message that in 1843 and 1844 brought us out of the other churches. We need the Holy Spirit to kindle in our hearts the zeal and earnestness that were then seen among God's people. I thank the Lord that there are still living a few who can remember those days, and who know whereof they speak." {RH, January 19, 1905 par. 22} "All the messages given from 1840-1844 are to be made forcible now, for there are many people who have lost their bearings. The messages are to go to all the churches." {21MR 437.1} The above reference prove that messages on the 1843 and 1850 are most relevant for the faithful today just as they were in our past! Yes the 2520 IS part and parcel of the foundations of our faith as just quoted from the scriptures and sis. Ellen G. White. We do not say that if you reject the 2520 you are sinning against God, God said it, we only repeat what he has already said through His servants the prophets. I'll repeat His words for sake of those who have been deceived by the false shepherds in Israel. He speaks in Prov. 29:18, Isa. 28:1-19 and the third witness in found in Early Writings {DS, January 24, 1846 par. 1} "While praying at the family altar the Holy Ghost fell on me and I seemed to be rising higher and higher, far above the dark world. I turned to look for the Advent people in the world, but could not find them, when a voice said to me, Look again, and look a little higher. At this, I raised my eyes and see a strait and narrow path, cast up high above the world. On this path the Advent people were traveling to the City, which was at the farther end of the path. They had a bright light set up behind them at the first end of the path, which an angel told me was the Midnight Cry. This light shone all along the path and gave light for their feet so they might not stumble. And if they kept their eyes fixed on Jesus, who was just before them, leading them to the City, they were safe. But soon some grew weary, and said the City was a great way off, and they expected to have entered it before. Then Jesus would encourage them by raising his glorious right arm, and from his arm came a glorious light which waved over the Advent band, and they shouted, Hallelujah! Others rashly denied the light behind them, and said that it was not God that had led them out so far. The light behind them went out which left their feet in perfect darkness, and they stumbled and got their eyes off the mark and lost sight of Jesus, and fell off the path down in the dark and wicked world below. It was just as impossible for them to get on the path again & go to the City, as all the wicked world which God had rejected. They fell all the way along the path one after another, until we heard the voice of God like many waters, which gave us the day and hour of Jesus' coming." The prophet just said if you deny the light of the Midnight Cry you fell of the path that leads to the City. So brethren why are you denying the light of the Midnight Cry? I appeal to you in Gods stead, quit rejecting this wonderful light and step back on the platform that is is laid so perfectly. I have allowed the bible and th SOP back every statement up. If anything written in this response is not back by those two, please respond and I'll provide proof and if not Reject it I have spent enough time pointing out many inaccuracies in Mr. Wohlbergs interview. I do so not to incite any bitterness, wrath, anger or any such thing. It is most difficult to stand for truth as we all know the truth hurts. It hurts because we have not surrendered our will to His who is able to keep that which is committed to Him. John 16:6,7 But because I have said these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart.Nevertheless I tell you the truth; Gal. 4:16! This is already a quite lengthy response, as I have only responded to the first three dialogs. I would like to address more errors, but my time has fled and I must get back on the walls of Zion for we are on the watch for three enemies that soon to come against us . Will you join us? If more response is needed you can contact me @ www.restandrefreshingministries.com or [email protected] God Bless, Brother Chris

May the Lord our God bless you, brother for thist cristal clear response. So sad to see how prejudice of SDA leaders turve their view on the 2520. The argument that EGW was silent has response on herself when she often says, about the Bible, that it's "silence" is "eloquency". (Olhando para o alto p.147) Caiado (Portugal)

I have no particular gripe with the 2520 "except" being told that if one "does not" accept it, they will "not be sealed" therefore "not saved." There are many who are placing their salvation on believing this as they do in becoming 'works oriented." Perhaps...inadvertently kicking the Gospel of Christ to the curb...
