i'm having some issues with display settings and specifically the "display contents for expanded events" section. i just loaded an aeon timeline 1 timeline where i used the participant/observer settings pretty extensively. i want to see the participants and observers for an event when i click on it (in the expanded view). i was able to remove all of the other parts of the "display contents" no problem, but i wanted the participant and observer info next to each other (rather than stacked). however i am now totally unable to drag any of the items from the "other" section into the place where it says "drop to add an item". in fact i can't drag anything from the "other" section. my mouse does turn into the correct kind of cursor over the "other" items but dragging isn't recognized. i am the latest version of aeon timeline 2 on el capitan (10.11.3 specifically).

Hi, I have heard a few reports of this, but no one has ever been able to isolate steps to reproduce this issue consistently. In all the other reported cases, restarting the application has been enough for the drag and drop to work correctly again. If you manage to narrow down the cause of the issue, please let me know, as it has been on my "hunt down" list for a while but I cannot get it to happen on my machines. Matt

I'm having the same problem. I have only been able to drag image, Place Mentions, and a box that says "summary".... This is important because I need to be able to link the resource directly from that box, instead of opening the inspector and finding the right tabs and icons to press. I also need to know the people mentioned in each my thousands of letters. I also have to be able to change these display items as my project progresses and my needs change. It's very hard not to have it. It used to be fine. Then all of a sudden it stopped and wouldn't work. Then a couple of months later I tried again and the Place Mentions moved like I wanted to the second column, but then it stopped working again. This is a significant bug. Can you fix it yet? This screenshot shows the window. The Save and Cancel buttons are off the bottom of the screen but that's because of how the window's positioned. There is no problem with them, incase you were wondering. [Untitled](//muut.com/u/aeontimeline/s3/:aeontimeline:lLh5:untitled.png.jpg)

Hi, Unfortunately we haven't been able to find a reliable way to reproduce this bug and therefore have not been able to fix it. We believe it may be a problem in an external library we are using, and therefore would be harder to find. We do believe that if you close your timeline and then reopen it, the problem should be fixed. Does closing and reopening your timeline fix the issue for you? Jess

No it doesn’t. It used to work fine, then it stopped. The problem is it won’t even let me drag an item. But it did last week—just one item, Place Mentions.

Hey wait a minute. It just started working. This is weird.
