Remind yourself of what control you do have.         -What active steps can you take to feel less stressed?          -Write a list of your favorite activities                        *Write down the number of times per week/ month you would like to engage in this activity.                        *Write down what is realistic (in terms of weekly/monthly participation)                        *What might get in the way of engaging in these activities?                        *What can you tell others to help you participate in these activities? (e.g., "I need to take five minutes to go on a walk. Will you go with me?") Remind yourself of what is out of your control.          -Find a way to connect spiritually.                       *Read an inspiring / calming passage                         *Read a poem                       *If you're not ready for meditation:                                   +Take some deep breaths. Breathe in. Count for 4. Breathe out. Count for 4. Repeat.
