I've been with the job provider for about a year , had a really nice lady Tara I dealt with, she left and I got this older more pushy lady Kim instead. At my appointment last week she suggested I apply for a cleaning position, I went to the employer and did a trial. last year I upgraded my skills and got a Cert IV in aged care because I'm approaching 60 and want a less stressful Job, we were all told at a meeting with the job placement lady that we must go to all interviews and if we didn't our New start would be cut off. I told Kim my car registration was due and Kim suggested that I ask some one else to pay it, to send her a copy of the receipt, so I asked my son for $434.60 sent a copy of the receipt and have not received any money. It has been 7 days now . My son is angry and upset and so am I . So I emailed Kim for an update on when they would put the money in , even sent one to the job placement lady have had no response. My daughter in law told me that because my son had paid it , they were not going to pay me. Next step is sending a formal complaint to th em to resolve the issue. What is the point of lying to me and causing upset with my family and then just ignoring me. Giving me false hope as well.

Your daughter in law is incorrect to state that because your son paid it then you won't get reimbursed. Most job agents are aware sometimes people borrow the money from family and friends and this should have no influence on whether they re-imburse you or not. I would be more concerned that they have promised to re-imburse the money when they had no ability to (car rego is only payable under certain circumstances) or simply because they are slow or inefficients, have lost your claim. Call the AUWU advocacy line and try and work out what has happened in your case
