Hi I've single parenting on newstart since sept 2017, and was referred to a job network to look for work, successfully found employment on my own accord and not through the job networks referral. Started work April and advised I will be in long term full time employment till the end of the year. Reported and was continually being suspending from job network for being employed full-time. Having sent numerous emails and complaints, How can I meet in office appointments for job plan if I was employed FULL TIME!. Final suspension resulted on me contacting participation team advising me to get the job network to book phone appts and after 6 weeks of appointments I would drop off the system. Now I was advised if I receive a payment of even if $1 my 6 week reporting system would start again. Now as I'm on contract and not full time, if I'm sick , public holidays, on special leave I won't be paid, and hence this whole nightmare of reporting has not stopped. Now today I receive a phone call from my job network telling me they are sending me a new job plan as my most recent report ing of income resulted in $0 payment, they are now putting me on "work for the dole" scheme and I have 2 days to approve my job plan, and I have to submit 20 jobs. Now can anyone tell me is this the most ludicrous thing! It' looks like the system does not support anyone who works above 30hr per week, and how can I meet appointments if I work FULL TIME!! I'm on the verge of lodging an ombudsman complaint because why should I be placed on work for the dole, where I have a full time contractual job working 37.5hrs a week with possiblity of full-time employement. Centrelink have not suspended me because I have not worked 6 consecutive fortnights with $0 to be cut off. My Job network is an absolute nightmare, then had the audacity to ask me to provide payslips to which I refused. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated on next steps.

my case is similar with yours. I called this number 1800 805 260 The department of job, small business and Training I called numbers of times, finally my complaint went through. In my case, my job provider didn't update my job details so in the system I was still a job seeker although I working 9 full days per fortnight which is way over my obligation. my suggestion, call them and calmly explain your situation. Just remember that not everyone is helpful, at times someone on the other end of the line will try to put you off by telling you some rubbish, don't give up easily, hang up then try again some other times and important ask for reference number each time you speak to them. When you refer to a senior officer that's where you should try very hand to push your complain through. About the six continue fortnight with no payment claim from centrelink you should off the system, after that when you have to claim some of the payment because circumstances should not put you back to the system straight away, if you claim the centrelink payment for a long period of time, cen trelink will have to sent you to a job provider first. If you do claim centrelink payment during the 6 fortnight period the 6 fortnight start recounting. you can get information about this from the number above as well. hopefully this will help

From memory, when I became a full-time worker a few years back, I went straight to Centrelink and got them to take me off of Youth Allowance (which is what I was on at the time), as my full-time wage was going to be greater than what I was earning on the pension. This effectively got me off of the job agency's books as well, as the whole system is linked. But your agency should not be putting you into Work for the Dole, as you are still working, and you will not be able to meet your fortnightly Dole hours.
