Nose Irritation From Adhesive

Sun, 03 Oct 2021 22:24:36 GMT

I absolutely love, love, love Bleep and just started using it a week ago. I have never slept better in my 6 months of CPAP therapy. After about 4 days the areas around my nose where the adhesive is has become red after removing my DreamPorts in the morning and persists all day. Been using Paw Paw ointment during the day which helps somewhat. Last night I had to sleep with my once dependable standby F&P Evora mask to give the nose a break and had a dreadful night sleep. Been spoiled by Bleep. I have been using a glycolic acid toner and then 89% witch hazel and am wondering if it is just too much astringent. I thinking that I should stop using the glycolic acid toner and just use the newly received DreamPreps. I tape my mouth with the 3M Nexcare sensitive tape as the other brands I’ve tried cause redness around my mouth. To my knowledge, I don’t have adhesive sensitivity but am curious if I’m developing one. Any tips or advise will be received with great gratitude. Thank you!

Got it somewhat sorted by mistake. Washed face, applied glycolic acid toner & skipped the nose area, forgot to use a DreamPrep and applied the DreamPorts. Realized the error before falling asleep and just hoped for the best. GREAT sleep, no leaks, AHI of 0.2. This morning the DreamPorts peeled off beautifully and my nose is only very slightly irritated. PROBLEM SOLVED hopefully!

Thanks! Everything has resolved and even found out why my second Dreamway was wonky. One side slightly dislodged in the corner from where it connects to the hard plastic diffuser. I’m 13 days in and on the verge of becoming a pro. LOL! My REM sleep numbers on my AutoSleep app are the best they’ve been ever and nightly SPO2 are in the high 90s. Bleep has made my CPAP journey much brighter and successful. Happy is the day I found Bleep.
