To be clear, for those who think I just need to switch to one of those awesome static website generators: that's what I'm using *right now*. It's how this post was created. It's what I've been using for nearly five years. I guess I was a little ahead of the curve, and I'm past it. Running make/git/whatever to add a post was a step backward, with a negative effect on my motivation to write.
Well I hope you keep writing! And do leave a last forwarding post. Wherever you go, I sure hope it supports RSS.
I usually read posts here via my RSS reader, but I felt compelled to comment today. My old fashioned take on newer platforms is that they will shutdown eventually, in 5 years, 10 years, but the "older" kind of sites (static generated, wordpress) will remain. And btw, thank you for all the useful content over the years.
