Running `make` in `/var/adm/rational/clearcase/mvfs/mvfs_src` results in an error message like this: Clearcase: 9.0.0.6 OS: CentOS 7.5 (hosted on Google Cloud Platform) kernel: 3.10.0-862 gcc: gcc-4.8.5-28.el7_5.1.x86_64 ``` make -C /lib/modules/3.10.0-862.11.6.el7.x86_64/build SUBDIRS=`pwd` make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/src/kernels/3.10.0-862.11.6.el7.x86_64' CC [M] /var/adm/rational/clearcase/mvfs/mvfs_src/mvfs_linux_mvops.o /var/adm/rational/clearcase/mvfs/mvfs_src/mvfs_linux_mvops

Yes, there were Linux kernel changes in that version which required corresponding changes in the MVFS module. Support for the 3.10.0-862 kernel was recently released in the ClearCase 9.0.1.4 fixpack. The IBM technote at https://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21642397 has been updated accordingly. The 9.0.0.6 maintenance level was the final fixpack on that stream; you will need to upgrade to 9.0.1.4.
