Yeast sharing

Would anyone be interested in sharing banked yeast and/or splitting fresh packs to build up starters? I'd like to experiment with different Brett and Saison strains but am too cheap to buy all of them myself. I currently have Voss and Hornindal Kveik that are super easy to share as well as some Saisons and a Wit.

Totally interested, and I think we can do this at meetings? Maybe not that advised when we're meeting at The Vineyard (given that they sell yeast..), but I've seen trading / giving away before. Vials can work, but have to be stepped up more, but dated mason jar slurries work. With the Kviek's, I read that you can even dehydrate them!

Meetings would be a good time. Could bring growlers/jars of starters and split yeast pouches or take scoops of people's slurry.

I would be interested in this too. I like to propagate my yeasts from each batch, but if I am making something with a different yeast, I can't always use it in time. I was thinking of doing something with a Belgian yeast for my next batch.

Probably need to get a list going of what people have/ want to try to match.

Okay I made a google spreadsheet where you can fill in the yeast you have, your name, the format of the yeast and also add yeasts you're interested in buying: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1S4Eh7_1zNCJz8bGvp_FuJmIFIRcyrZGHBz2eZwjjhDs/edit?usp=sharing
