Yesterday I attempted my first peanut butter stout, and after the 60 min boil I added approximately 400g of powder peanut butter to the wort. When it cooled to 20 deg C, I added in some WLP007 yeast (expiring June 18). There has been zero fermentation activity and Im used to seeing something within 24hours. Anyone out there have experience using powder PB and fermenting issues? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Im wondering if the amount of PB powder would interfere with the fermentation ?

what is in the ingredients? is there by chance sorbate, or metabisulfite? either of those will stop and or kill a fermentation dead.

False alarm! Guess i was just having a panic attack, it is fermenting great today. I did a good mix last nite and it seems to have waken it up.
