Kathy Griffin, false flag? Or just an idiot?

By now everyone has heard about the infamous unfunny "joke" that Kathy Griffin was responsible for, in which she held up a fake bloody president head in an effort to make some political statement. Well...Kathy's plan backfired horribly and everyone employing her fired her within 48 hours. People on the left and right were equally outraged. Nobody thought this was funny. People are calling Kathy every name possible and it's created a media firestorm. I can't help but wonder though, is this "joke" all that it seems? Someone would have to be pretty stupid to think this was a good idea and while I do think Kathy might be an idiot, I question this event. On the one hand, people make jokes that miss the mark, they do crazy publicity stunts and we all know that things in the media can be faked. The real question is, what ELSE is going on in the news that the Kathy Griffin story might be drawing attention away from? Could she have been PAID to do this? It is odd that CNN would fire her after employing her for exactly 10 years...Seems like a nice, even number, kind of like a TV OR MOVIE CONTRACT! Gee...you think? I am not saying it is true BUT if someone wanted to purposely plant an outrageous story, they could not have thought of anything better. Take a washed up, aging comedian who hasn't been doing much in years, pay her a bunch of money to do a really offensive act, then apologize, take the heat, take the money and get the hell out of entertainment. This isn't the most glorious way to retire but IF she was paid enough money, I can see why she would play the heel, kind of like a bad wrestling plot. When you seriously look at this from all sides, it does kind of seem a bit like a WWE storyline but with words instead of physical fights. I am not sure why but I just think this story STINKS of something fishy. I am not saying this was all plotted out on purpose because I don't know that for a fact. I just have a hard time believing that Kathy could possibly do something so stupid without ONE friend or assistant being honest with her and telling her it was a bad move. Something about this story just seems "off" and so does the timing. I think Kathy's "joke" was disgusting, unfunny and unAmerican. I am all for artistic freedom but I think Kathy crossed the line into borderline threats that were almost illegal and that isn't cool. I am also willing to believe that this was staged and that people from the right and left are both in on it. I am not saying this is true, I am just saying anything is possible and we need to always read between the lines and ask: What emotional response is this story trying to cause? I do my best to look at each case from a nonpartisan standpoint and just look for the truth. The only reasonable explanations I can come up with for what Kathy did are 1) She really IS just a genuine idiot and thought her followers and the fanatical left would find this funny 2) She thought it would give her fading career a boost and she could just apologize and use the "art" excuse and it would be okay or 3) She was paid a lot of money by someone who wanted to make the left look bad and who wanted this "news" to overshadow real news...OR 4) Some other news organization paid Kathy to make CNN look bad. Whatever the case, I did get some questions about Kathy and was asked what I thought of her actions, so I thought I would throw around some theories and see what other people think. My ideas are ONLY theories, I am not an expert and it is possible I am totally wrong. I just smell something stinky here and I am not sure if it is Kathy, or if there is a conspiracy in this story. What do you think of the Kathy Griffin "Head-GATE" event? Fake news? Or a comedian being an idiot and making a REALLY bad, unfunny joke?
