The VP Creative Services is responsible for the administration and operation of the Creative Services department, as well as the direction, coordination, and supervision of all marketing and branding activities of the station across all platforms. Assumes responsibility for total station look and show branding. Establishes marketing goals, budget, and plans with the station’s VP General Manager. Hires, manages, and directs a staff of producers, designers, and coordinators that perform the planning, writing, designing, and production of all promotional and branding materials for on-air and digital platforms. Oversees all outside media expenditures; including radio, cable, outdoor, digital, and social campaigns. Conducts post-buy media and on-air analysis measuring marketing messages and effectiveness. Researches and tests market trends and new methods of advertising, marketing, and promotion. Oversees all sales promotion and contest efforts. Maintains GRP and impression levels to ensure effective ratings. Leads station de sign initiatives with FTS Graphics Hub. Coordinates corporate Creative Services initiatives at the station level. Represents station at industry conferences. Oversees production and look of all news packaging.
Requirements: Experienced and knowledgeable in media production and design skills to create, develop, and supervise marketing and branding efforts. Experienced and knowledgeable in marketing tactics, strategies and trends across all broadcast and digital media platforms. Understanding of FCC, FTC and station policies. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong supervisory skills. A bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred. Four years of broadcast media experience. Experience with digital media is preferred. Experience in news related marketing is a plus
