I work in stop-motion animation and of of our biggest challenges is to animate camera movements at the some time we animate the characters. There are a few industry solution but they have values that can not be afforded by small studios like ours. What I imagined was to create a ceiling rail with a kart were your robot would attach, the robot would have to sustain the camera and the lenses (about 1 kilo), and to be controlled by an arduino thats how Dradon Stop-motion (the software we use) controls the camera.

Unfortunately, the robotic arm is only capable of picking up to 500g and even then this is a stretch. Generally, you will be looking at north of $10,0000 for a new robotic arm capable of carrying 1 kg and 6 degrees of freedom. I am sorry for the bad news. The Ignus is a 4-axis robotic arm for about $5k (http://ph.rs-online.com/web/p/node_under_construction/1216525/) and is capable of 1 kg.
