I must be missing something here so please be gentle with me: I set my Mavic Air to do a top down of our house and all goes as planned, I click fly drone, it lifts off and then just hovers happily at about 1.5m altitude and waits. The app is still running, all is ok but it just wont fly the path. What am I doing wrong here?
Update: The flight plan executes if there is no obstacle even on the radar. That means even a 1 bar warning of an obstacle will stop the flight path.
Hi markvanhaze, Thanks for your question. Drones equipped with obstacle avoidance sensors use them also during the DH automatic flights, so if the drone senses an obstacle that it deems dangerous, this might interfere with the execution of the autonomous flight. So, I think this confirms you concern. Do let us know if you managed to execute the entire flight ok, and if you had other problems consequently. Best, David
Hello David, Yes all works well and it was the obstacle avoidance that stopped the Mavic Air from starting the mission.
