You can open the dhm file from any file explorer application on your device. The Android System knows that Drone Harmony can open *.dhm files and will offer you to do exactly that for you. There is no explicit Import for dhm files at the moment, but it is a planned feature on our development roadmap.
oh ok then... i save it on the google drive then other tablet download it and run directly (open with) DH right? then save the mission on new tablet. Thanks for explanation.
So does that mean we can plan out a flight on a tablet with a big screen, but then transfer the flight plan to a phone running DH, for portability in the field? That sounds cool!
@dronecam: Yes, but open the dhm file with a file explorer. It will suggest you to open it with DH automatically. You can go ahead and save it there as a new flight plan in the application. CobyD: Absolutely. In addition to that we are developing a webbased frontend, so that in the future you will be able to do the flight planning on your laptop / desktop in the office or at home.
Awesome - that would be ideal! Meanwhile, is it perhaps possible to run DH on a PC via the Google Android emulator - has that been tried?
For mission planning, that is - not for flying.
CobyD yes, I remember one of users wrote about succesfull emulation in this forum. Use the search function ("emulator") or look for Desktop Planning in Feature Requests to see their posts or to even contact them through by private message. They mentioned: NOX APP emulator Bluestacks emulator We have not tried ourselves and thus will not be able to support you on that journey, although it probably is an exiting one. Best, Martin
hi martin, I try already make plan with big screen (laptop dell latitude E600 dual boot android via remix OS) I also install DH on the emulator remix OS. it is working fine for planing structure and the flight plan. and then after i glad with my plan on it. i do export for the plan (Export state) then save it on google drive. then the other tablet downloaded my DHM file. This is work for me.. and i thing this is good practice as same as work online with litchi hub on the PC. I just wondering if we are running Phantom3 standard which is use wifi for connection, may be i can do link from the Dell latitude with Phantom to run DH right/ My drone is P4, so i don't have proof on it. but i believe may be work because i have P3 before. If it is work fine, that mean may laptop can be use as ground station controller right? regards Taufan (DD-Schlumberger)
Probably this will not work if you do not use the DJI Remote controller for the wifi connection. Although DJI uses wifi to communicate with the Phantom 3 it uses a proprietary protocol.
