Thank you springer, Nice to hear that! We will soon change to a new forum, hope to see you there as well!
I have been playing around with DH and a program that an individual with the online name of "Namirda" in the Mavic Pilots Forum who has developed a program called Litchi Virtual Mission (LVM) that will take the Litchi .cvs export file and allow it to be previewed in Google Earth. In other words you can fly a mission in GE before going to the field and actually flying. Advantage is you can adjust flight plan before arriving and flying. I have taken the DH file in the export mode of .cvs and copied and pasted it into the LVM Ver 1.5 program and successfully flown and previewed a DH mission in GE before flying it for real. I really like and enjoy using DH, I only mention the above as food for thought and maybe it might be something you and your team may want to explore as a tool.
The program is VLM (Virtual Litchi Mission) and not LVM....Thanks!
Hi springer, thought I'd give LVM a try but when I tried to load a DH csv file it came with error "unrecognised header in csv file". Did you have to edit the file at all??
Yes, you have to cut and paste into the the VLM .cvs forma. I'll post a couple of examples in the net day or so that way you can see what can be used from the DH.cvs file that will translate and run...
Thanks very much that would be great
Thank you very springer for the information! Integration of one sort or another with Google Earth is something we are considering for a long time and are often coming back to. In the near future we hope to add many more import and export functions in the spirit of what you are describing to help users use the tools they are used in order to get safer flight. In general though, we are working hard to let the user visualize the flight trajectories in our own 3D interface, so we try to eliminate as much as possible the need to switch between programs. At the same time it sometimes unavoidable, or can just give another point of view and we understand that. Best, David
