Dynamic update of height

Is there a way to change way points height in the midst of an ongoing flight. How to set video caching as this may be helpful to be able to review videos captured on the spot rather than having to hook up to a PC to review much later.

It is possible to pause flight, drone will hover on the spot, then edit the waypoint (including the altitude) and then result the flight either from the start or from closest point. You could also change the start point to restart from an arbitrary point. During the flight execution it is not possible to deviate from the programmed path (only change the speed). Regarding video playback, we plan to have this in one of the future versions, at the moment only preview of images is supported.

By pausing a programmed flight does this mean I switch to Spot mode (Mavic) then make the necessary changes eg altitude, location etc then continue by redefining the waypoint that has values changed to be its new start point. Then followed by hitting the run button on the lower right of the screen? I know this is a bit of difficult to be specific and this relates to the devices used. Trying the app on Samsung Tablet Pro SM-T325 obviously with gaining advantage of bigger screen compared to a mobile phone proved to be useless. 1) prepared a map site 2) select a flight mode (eg site construction or any other modes) 3) generate flight 4) switch to 3D screen to view and simulate the flight 6) noted that all icons on the left side of screen missing from the screen 7) also noted that the 2 buttons at the screen bottom changed to show only colored circles with no images or text to indicate its function at all. Tablet running on Android version 4.2.2 Any suggestions as how to use DH App with it? Thanks Charlie

Not sure if this will help but when I first used the app, I didn't realize at first that the big buttons are actually part of a buttons strip that is larger than the screen can hold, and so you must swipe them to slide the button bar to reveal more buttons.

Thanks for your comments. We have not heard so far from users having the problem of not being able to access some buttons, even on smaller screens. If you could please make a screenshot of when this is happening to you and send us (for example to [email protected]) we would really appreciate it! As Pathogen said, when the screen is too small to show all icons in some menu, you should always be able to scroll to see them. Just in case I will mention here the roles of the different buttons in the 3D view screen. The ones on the left list all scene objects (these are the polygons and the circles). By tapping on them you toggle between showing and not showing them in the 3D view. This way you can focus on some part of the scene in case you have a large one. There is a difference between this 3D view (accessible through the icon on the bottom left in the map view) and the 3D widget that appears when you plan a mission (e.g. by Puls icon -> Top Down). The same icons appear on the left in this 3D widget in some missions (such as some of the Shape missions). Here the y are used to direct the camera angle at the selected scene object. Here you thus also have the points of view that appear as circles in the left menu with numbers written inside them. The icons on the right (in the normal 3D view) represent the missions that you have generated. Again, by tapping on them you can toggle from seeing and not seeing them. Finally, once you have flown some plans, the flight icons appear on the to menu both in map and 3D views and they work in the same way as the mission icons. I hope this clarifies the something, and if not I'm happy to help more if could give more details about how you reach this situation. Best, David

Hi David, thanks for the detailing the roles of the different buttons which I am fully aware of as I have been trying out the app for a couple of days already. Yes I will certainly do a screen record and upload to you the experiences on my Samsung tablet SM-T325 for your review. Regards Charlie
