as a fellow bedroom producer as they call it, dabbler of diy music production i enjoyed this. when you really get in the zone making music that shit does come from somewhere else, like sometimes youll look back at what you made and be like how the fuck did i do that? theres no way i can make something like that again. and then you try it again, and you make something like that or even better now. it also relates to the previous podcast about being in the flow state. when everything is effortless and the tedium of working in a DAW is nonexistent and the music youre making feels alive as youre constantly editing and changing it, thats the feeling i maybe enjoy more than the actual finished product of the music, which is probably why im not some millionaire dj producer i guess lol.
Duncan 108 hz frequency is on the scale of the 432 hz frequency of the Grand Solfeggio scale. 108 from my understanding is a divine number. I know nothing about this its just something I remember learning and wanted to put this out there for those who havent come across this information yet. Also on this scale is 144 of the 144,000 from the bible maybe? Anyway great episode, keep it up.
To whoever bought asshypnotist.com... Please please steal this idea: mash-up of twerk videos to Bird is the Word by the Trashmen. Here's a quick example I threw together on YouTube Doubler: https://shar.es/1NaDV4 (I think you have to mute the second video.) It makes me so happy.
@surrealies Your mashup is brilliant. The natural timing is uncanny!
This episode was beautiful. Now I want a zither.... Duncan, have you ever listened to anything from Leaving Records? It's a little new age/ electronic label based in LA! Check it out! Also, please turn down the feral audio add at the end of your episodes, it makes me rip my ear phones out everytime. Peace.
Does anyone know what instrument Laaraji plays at the end of the episode?
It sounds like an mbira to me.
