I'm fucking my mailman while listening to this
I can definitely relate to being driven by shame. Sorry if I came off as a dick last time. This episode was awesome. Two insanely brilliant dudes. Thanks for doing this
midnight gospel is going to change many people's way of thought, Im glad you will finally be heard Duncan. Thank You
I cried ep 8..called my mom
First time listening, love your stuff man. I think the word you guys were looking for earlier on about that tenuous thread is called the social contract. The relationship stuff was really relatable as well. Most of your stuff really increases my own mindfulness. I love that you are doin what you love!
The Buddhist themes in all your work have been amazing easter eggs for me as I learn more and more about myself. I have one more episode of Midnight Gospel left and I loved the episode with Bob. I just wanted to thank you for your work and hope you keep on creating. A lot of it resonates with me and I hope it will inspire others as it has inspired me. I also just finished a course on the intersection between Buddhism and evolutionary psychology where we focused on the modular theory of the mind and its implications on the evolution of some of our more natural competencies and behaviors. We didn't get to talk about the idea behind ‘Bardo’ but the way you guys spoke about the sort of ‘in-between’ state and how it relates to our current situation was very thought-provoking. Though this is a pretty fucked up time, I hope to see what sort of shifts in mindset the future holds. Thank you again, you beautiful humans.
"midnight gospel is going to change many people's way of thought, Im glad you will finally be heard Duncan. Thank You" Can confirm! Thank you:)
The Midnight Gospel is one of my favorite shows. I'm hoping for more seasons.
People need to start using the word armageddon ("cataclysmic final conflict,") or something. Apocalypse is about esoteric information being revealed to all. apocalypse (n.) late 14c., "revelation, disclosure," from Church Latin apocalypsis "revelation," from Greek apokalyptein "uncover, disclose, reveal," from apo "off, away from" (see apo-) + kalyptein "to cover, conceal," from PIE root *kel- (1) "to cover, conceal, save." The Christian end-of-the-world story is part of the revelation in John of Patmos' book "Apokalypsis" (a title rendered into English as pocalipsis c. 1050, "Apocalypse" c. 1230, and "Revelations" by Wyclif c. 1380).
