Hello, would like to know how my smartphone connects to the drone, and whether the images can be recorded and/or snapshots taken? Thanks !

The F1 connects to a buoy using a tether, and your smartphone connects to the buoy via wi-fi. After you are connected via wifi, you open the control app, where you can also record videos.

Spot on @jr2002! We've built out the "Divelog" function of the Fathom application to save snapshots and videos directly to your smart device or laptop computer! You'll also be able to record information like max depths on a dive, dive locations, and dive durations if you'd like!

That's great (a diver speaking :)). And how do we access the buoy with the laptop? web browser?

@becknan24, I'm glad that'll work for you! If you'd like to access your drone via laptop, just connect to the buoy's wifi, open any web browser, and enter your drone's IP address (which we'll provide in the drone's documentation). This will bring up the drone's video portal (this is the beta version): [Screen Shot 2017-03-01 at 2](//muut.com/u/fathom/s1/:fathom:HqGL:screenshot20170301at2.40.46pm.png.jpg) From there you can download your videos, or delete them off your drone! I hope that helps! - John
