When I try to start V8 it pops up an error message. Once I clear the message it crashes and closes. I have been on v6-7 without issue, I it s a Python error in the main script which at the end says " AttributeError : Type Object 'CNCjob' has no attribute 'defaults' No matter what I do it will not open and run.. Any ideas? I have installed winpython but that did not seem to change anything

Hi Matthew, Thanks for reporting this problem. This is a strange one. I'm very interested in solving this but it might be a little hard to reproduce. I suspect it has to do with your system. I looked at the error, and in the current code, what is being said is not possible. So something must have gotten mixed up. By the way, with the windows installer you don't need any other software installed on your machine, so installing WinPython has no impact. The error is complaining about something missing in the code, but it's a problem local to you because I can confirm that such thing is not missing, and if it really was, everybody would get the same error for sure. Could you please try uninstalling, deleting the folder: --- text C:\Program Files (x86)\FlatCAM --- and then re-installing again. Is there anything particular to your system that might be triggering the problem? Anything major changed since you installed version 7? Thanks, JP

Thanks to you. The problem shouldn't have happened in the first place. I'm glad it worked out, but if there is something triggering it, we would like to fix it. Cheers, JP
