There is a suggestion. When using a laser connected instead of a fan. The M107 instruction takes longer than the M106 S0. I only use the M106 S4 ~ M106 S0 to control the laser. My iron is a 3D printer on Marlin.

So, basically you are recommending to replace the M107 with M106 S0?
Yes..
Ok, now that I'm officially in quarantine (stupid thing) I may dedicate some more time to FlatCAM :) Consider it done.
quarantine? Have you been Covid'ed?
I had a trip to Milano (job related) for 3 days and when back ... quarantine at home (ermmm ... vacation :) ).
Alright, I'll keep my fingers crossed :)
No need but thanks :) besides empty shelves in supermarkets and empty streets nothing strange in Milano.
Sorry for your experience here in Italy.... hope you're fine.
Well, I love Italy and it's history. It's never a bad experience while going there: either vacation or work. And mozzarella really taste good :D
If you plan to visit Venice in future I would like to meet you :-)
Thanks, I don't know yet where I will go in vacation this year but if I will pass nearby I'll say hello.
With flatcam it is possible to expose PCB with a 405nm laser. Different spot sizes might be realized by different z heights, so larger areas could be cleared with a large spot and details are exposed using the finer spots. So, differetnt tool diameters might be translated to different z heights in oder to achieve that.
Correct but a calibration needs to be done.
And also a Preprocessor that will move to a set Travel Z when encountering a Toolchange event. Which I've added to the app.
Where can I find it?
Is it in the GRBL-laser postrocessor?
The new preprocessor it is based on the GRBL laser but different. It will be available in he next version of FlatCAM beta, when published (work is going slow on this version so it will take some time, sorry).
Thank you, much appreciated!
