I think this is a bug. If I use the exact same settings, but have all of the tools in the tools table selected, and choose mill slots, it will cut out the outline of the pad containing the slot, completely cutting the entire pad out of the board rendering a failed board. If I only select the specific tool containing the slots, and choose mill slots, it just cuts the actual slot in the middle of the pad. No settings were changed between the two processes, but one scrapped the board and one cut as expected. As far as the second issue, I disagree that it's "good enough". It really should treat the hole like a pocket. It's rather expensive to replace these tiny end mills. Each one costs about 5 dollars. Milling the center of the pad would prevent the center piece from coming loose and destroying the end mill.

Selecting all tools creates an outline of the entire copper pad for each slot, instead of just milling the slot into the pad. If I single-select the tool, then it only mills the slot as you would expect it to.
Can you send me the Excellon file with which I can see the issue? I can not replicate this problem. What version of FlatCAM are you using?
