Using latest source on Windows

Mon, 04 Dec 2017 09:09:09 GMT

Here i want to share my experience on using latest development version from source on Windows. I used win7 x86. First you need to install python 2.7. Dont forget about "include into PATH..." Download repository from bitbucket and unpack it somewhere. I used c:/flatcam. After that you can try to run from command line "python flatcam", but there will be a lot of errors about modules required. So you will need to download some python modules packages for windows from https://www.lfd.uci.edu/~gohlke/pythonlibs/ You need to download pyqt4, simplejson, numpy+mkl, matplotlib, rtree, shapely. Install these modules from command line by "pip install [module_filename]". Also you need modules svg.path and pypiwin32, just run "pip install [module_name]". After those preparations you should be able to run latest flatcam by running "python flatcam" from source folder.
