I've started my 15 in '15 adventure reading the Gail Carriger series - The Parasol Protectorate. It's a steampunk Victorian era series set in London, England with occasional traipses through France and Italy. The truly incredible part of it is that Carriger has set up this completely believable society in which supernatural characters (vampires, werewolves and "soulless") live among the "daylight" humans. It's humorous, intriguing and a really great series. Has anyone else read Carriger before? Or any other steampunk novels?

I love this series--Carriger also has a Young Adult series set in the same universe called "Finishing School" which is equally good! http://north-reading.mvlc.org/eg/opac/results?locg=1;qtype=series;query=Finishing%20school

Yes! The Finishing School series (and the Prudence series) are on my list - but I took a break to read the Casual Vacancy. I wanted to read it before it aired on UK TV. :D
