Can I assign a formative to multiple classes at once? When I selected multiple classes, only the first selected class received the assignment. Can the optional settings in ASSIGN be set as a default so I don’t have to click on them over and over again?

Hi! Yes, you can assign to multiple classes simultaneously. I just tested this and it worked smoothly for me. Here's a gif showing the process: [Assign to multiple classes](//muut.com/u/formative/s1/:formative:f1Kk:assigntomultipleclasses.gif.jpg) In it, you can see that each class becomes greyed out after you assign to them and if you click back into them, you can see that the same assign settings have been applied to each. If you are still having issues with this, it would be great if you could message us using the chat intercom in the bottom of your dashboard / Formatives page with any additional details and we'd love to help further! Regarding your request to create a default for the optional settings under Assign, that's a great idea that we can definitely consider. It'd be great to hear more about why it'd be useful given what you teach. I'll tag your feedback so we can use it to inform our designs! Thanks! David

The reason I would like to have my optional settings in ASSIGN go to default is because I am creating several assignments for the week and I am using the same choices; instantly, after student submits, enable edits, sync with Google Classroom. It would be nice to set them once and only have to click on them if I need to change my settings. Isn't that what settings are for? Everything seemed to work when adding assignments to multiple classes, but when I checked in each google classroom only the first selected class got the assignment. This could be an issue with my aging computer. So, I added each assignment to each classroom individually. I will try assigning to multiple classrooms again next week. I am done for this week, my wrist is killing me (another reason to want less clicks). Thanks for the reply! Therese

Hey Therese! Thanks for the reasoning! That makes sense! We definitely want to provide customizable settings/defaults in the near future. Regarding assigning to multiple classes, do each of the classes you are trying to assigning to have the Google Classroom symbol on them? You can only post directly to Google Classroom for classes like that where you've explicitly used the "Import from Google Classroom" button on the Classes page. We are going to be adding an option to post to Google Classroom for classes you haven't explicitly imported from Google Classroom.
