Expression pedals and programmable switches make this pedal so much better than it already is! I currently run my whole board with a Boss ES-8. In addition to being a loop switcher with presets, it functions as a midi controller. On all my harmony presets that use the Pitchfactor, I reprogrammed one of the buttons on the ES-8 to function as the "learn" switch on the Pitchfactor. This allows me to change keys easily without touching the actual pedal. I am also using the ES-8 to send midi signals to change the preset within the Pitchfactor (no more manually banking up or down and selecting a preset). Lastly, I am using midi expression to either change voicings, change the mic, or manipulate other parameters with my foot. In short: midi control can exponentially multiply the ways in which you can use the Pitchfactor, and can greatly enhance ease of use.
There was some discussion in the Horn-FX pedal review page about the PitchFactor and articulation of harmonic notes below the note being played on the instrument. http://www.horn-fx.com/eventide-pitchfactor (see the paragraph under "Tracking Speed") Does anyone know if this issue has now been resolved with Eventide? I too am thinking about investing in a harmonizer pedal for use with my flute, but did not want to purchase a device with a known defect. Thank you in advance for any comments.
