I2C Trigger on Address actually triggers on data

Fri, 01 Feb 2019 15:09:37 GMT

On a bus full of I2C devices, we have one with the 7-bit address 0x7e. Technically, this is a reserved address, but the custom ASIC we are using forces us to use this address. Regardless, I expect ScanaStudio to properly trigger on this address. I am using a recently purchased SP209i and ScanStudio 3.1.0 beta F. When I set up the trigger, it actually triggers on data that matches the same bit pattern. I looked at the i2c.js script and it appears to be written correctly to look for a START following by the address bits, but the trigger system allows several clocked bits in between the START and the address bit pattern - thus triggering on data. See the attached screen shot showing the trigger configuration and the result. [I2C Addr Trigger fail](//muut.com/u/ikalogic/s3/:ikalogic:Vc86:i2caddrtriggerfail.png.jpg)
