This ended up a HW problem. The USB connector on my SQ100 is intermittent. I can situate the plug just right and the device is seen by the application. So this can be closed, thanks much

IHi Ibrahim It is not new and has a lot of use. If the connection becomes too troublesome I will ask for repair assistance. Thanks very much for the offer. Tom
