This is very inspiring, thank you Sam for the contribution! I know Sam won't mind me saying that she's traditionally high-stress Type A by nature and trying to not let those tendencies rule her world (who can relate, I know I can, haha!), and so the gardening is a small but effective tool in learning to be more chill and naturally slip into a parasympathetic state. I also find that it helps us to be more present, connected to earth, aware, and quite frankly you can even "talk" to your plants for a little therapy ;) Until now, personally I've only nurtured house plants and some outdoor plants. I love the process of keeping them alive and thriving; watering them and monitoring them is a relaxing joyful activity. But now, I'm going to start my herb/lettuce/veggie garden now realizing how easy it is! I can't wait for fresh herbs and lettuce in abundance!!!!
