My favorites (and pretty much the only ones I keep around for travel days/being on the road) are Bulletproof and, in second place, the Primal Kitchen bars.
At one point I would keep Boku bars in the car for road trips, but right now I think Bulletproof is the best (and tastiest).
Clif bars. I won some in a competition. Although I'm not sure I want to hear if they are terrible :)
Here was the competition I won... to take part in a trek for MyChallenge HQ (a UK based website where you can search for challenges swim, bike, OCR, run, tri based on dates and location! super helpful)... they filmed me at work for why I am motivated! As you can see I got a lot of Clif stuff. Link if interested http://blog.mychallengehq.com/meet-kerryanne-addicted-to-running-it-starts-today/ - they'll film me twice more (during training and on the challenge).
Not a bar fan. Krave jerky is my go to snack.
@pritchet74, do you like epic bars? I somewhat recall that a lot of the Krave jerky flavors have added sugar in relatively high amounts.
@kerryanne - Ah, Clif bars, my former bar of choice until 2011 when they screwed me over lol. I'm not saying they are all-evil nor that they'll screw everyone over (I know pros who handle em fine!), but they do contain some "common GI offenders" and I'll share more in post.
I haven't, but should try. Looks like I need to see if there is a Krave flavor that doesn't have the sugar...
Our work just started stocking 9Bars - although I don't really like them because of the pumpkin seeds. Would you mind checking those too please?
:) Also Aldi UK just started stocking their own brand Paleo Bars which I sometimes grab at the checkout (Because 40p!) and only list things Brazil nuts and cherries in the ingredient list as an example... https://www.aldi.co.uk/macadamia-%26-coconut-paleo-bars/p/071261139647202
Epic Bars, RxBars, and Picky bars are my current go-tos - Epic and Rx for snacking and Picky for cycling (although I don't do too much snacking with bars, more of a cycling thing). Used to be a big fan of Bonk Breakers on the bike, but they became a little "stale" for me, personally. Sometimes I'll use Larabars for a changeup too.
