I am a believer in giving people and companies the opportunity to learn from their mistakes. When Bitstamp went dark during their network/banking issues a couple of weeks ago, I was more than happy to give them the benefit of the doubt.
But today, inbound and outbound Bitcoin transactions are broken at Bitstamp. Not a tweet, not a post, not an update - nothing. They couldn't even manage "Having issues with #bitcoin transactions, we're looking into it". Instead, like last time, they go dark, preferring to just shut everyone out.
I will be watching this carefully, but as someone who trades hundreds of thousands of dollars every month through Bitstamp, I am evaluating other options.
This is another double failure for Bitstamp. One of technology, one of communication.

May be an issue with their hot and cold wallets, but the fact that they lack communication with their customers is worrying.

Yes, quite possibly. I'm not alone, which is perhaps more reassuring...in a weird way.

Mine came through.
