Whitelist external IP addresses?

If I wanted to limit traffic bandwidth overall but allow an external workstation to be on a sort of whitelist by IP address and have full bandwidth access to a share on the host machine. Is that possible to set up?

Yes, it is possible. Just create a [Filter](https://www.netlimiter.com/docs/basic-concepts/filters) with *Remote address is not in range* filter function. Any rule applied to this filter will work for all traffic except a traffic to the selected IPs. We would also recommend to add to such a global filter a bypass of important [system services](https://www.netlimiter.com/docs/basic-concepts/filters/system-services-and-windows-store-apps) (using *Application is not*) like *dnscache* or *dhcp*. Limiting or blocking of these services can have serious impact on system's connectivity and transfer speeds.
