nfection, why would they without treatment and leave the child at risk? Could the treatment cause more issues then waiting and treating after birth? CMV is known to cause issues at birth, another problem with lyme, so if they find this during pregnancy is this something that also should be treated?

Babesia is just emerging as a serious condition in part due to concerns with blood transfusions. My book Lyme Disease takes on Medicine and this Lyme Hangout should help bring the Babesia problem during pregnancy to the attention of the medical community. The treatment for Babesia has not been tested for a pregnant woman.
