"Believe. Because every cell in your body is listening to your thoughts." Very well said. Yes, believe.
Thanks Lane. The biology of belief cannot be leveraged enough. In western medicine we tend to miss out on its power because we label it "placebo", which we then conflate with "unscientific", "invalid", or "unhelpful". But helpful, valid treatment is whatever works, or am I missing something? And if the convergent knowledge of pyscho-neuro-immunology has anything to teach us now, it's that your cells really are "listening" to your thoughts through chemical messengers, cytokine cascades, cortisol effects, and so on. So these days, belief is anything but unscientific.
Marc - I was blessed by your story and the lessons within. Quite an amazing journey. Not a planned journey. Not an expected journey. But a journey of great proportions. The realization that we are not nearly as in control as we once thought we were is some of the "wisdom" we might gain as we mature if we are open to the concept. Thank you very much for sharing. Your writing style made this a real joy to read.
You're welcome Bill. Thanks for the kind words. You're right: not a planned journey! Like so much of life. Hope you and your family are well and thriving.
