You might try contacting former national MBCA President Richard Simmonds who is very knowledgeable about this era of MB. Also, there's always the MB Classic Center in CA. I'm sure they can help you.
Thanks. Many months ago when I started this search one of the first people I contacted was Tom Hanson who told me that he did not have access to such a list, nor did he remember ever having seen one, hence my effort to assemble same from original Lieferschein.
You might also try Pierre Hedary who is located in Florida. Pierre has a wealth of knowledge and experience with classic Mercedes vehicles. Pierre has an advertisement in the Star magazine with his contact information. Thanks for taking on this effort. Good luck. Also try Hatch & Sons. They are located on the east coast and also advertise in the Star magazine.
I wish I could find that master SA list somewhere.
Tom: Please keep looking and ask at the home office as well. I'm up to over 200 items so far, but my sources are running thin and it's very difficult to garner accurate spellings and numbers from some of the Lieferschein that are barely legible. I know that M-B issued a List of Codes for Special Vehicles (SA). dated 3/87, under Order No. 6450141850, but have been informed that it does not include the 5-digit codes used during the 1950s. Perhaps you could verify that this information is accurate. Thanks for your continued help.
That info would be here and not at the HO.
