Resizing multiple identical objects by the same amount

I've been working on a house design and have had to do some highly repetitive work just now, which prompts this suggestion. In elevation views of stairs, I had the treads shown as 1 1/2" thick. I've decided I want them to be 1 3/4" instead. When I select one of them, I can edit the height parameter in the right panel, but when I select more than one of them the hight parameter (and width) is greyed out and uneditable. All the treads I'm selecting are identical in both width and height, so I can't see why it should not be possible to select them all and change a parameter like that. I had a look at the Edit > Expand/Contract dialog but that appears to affect the entire selection as a single entity, not the individual units in the selection. And at any rate, applying a percentage or decimal change would not work well. I'd want a way to add an amount (in my case +1/4") or even better just type in the correct parameter. But that would be better done in the regular parameter boxes in the right panel. Rob

Hi Rob, The resizing will only affect a single object but you're right this is something that should be available and I will pass it onto the developers. A quicker method for you might be to delete all but the bottom step then resize that single step, then use the duplication tools to quickly produce the rest.

Yes please. Or an extend tool, like you have in many CAD apps (select multiple items, then select the extend tool and click a line to which all the selected objects will be extended to).

It has an extend tool... Brain fade moment. :-/
