the dimension arrows have disappeared on PE 6.0.1. How do I get them back? Thanks John
Hi John, It may be a case that the dimensions have had their attribute changed. Go to the Accessory palette (can be found in the Window menu). Select one of the dimensions that you're having trouble with and at the bottom of the Accessory palette you'll find a line option. Make sure this is set to arrows and not a standard line. Hope this helps, if not maybe you could email the file over to email@example.com, and we will take a look at it for you.
sorry, not Accessory palette, I meant to say Attribute palette. :)
Hi it doesn't seem to do anything - I copied a dimension from another drawing and it displays fine but I cant seem to change the ones I create on this drawing. How do I send you a copy of the file? This reply system only accepts images. Thanks John
OK, if you could send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org, with the file attached we will take a look and see what we can do.
Hi, I inherited some floorplans from a previous employee, and some of the file sizes are small, and some are huge. Any idea why some would be so much bigger? The drawings are pretty similar
Yes, they may have been created using different scales. Are they .md60 files or DWG files?
If you can email the files to email@example.com, we may be able to help and see what's happening
they're md60. some of the files are like 300kb, and the ones in question are 91mb. I'll try to compress and email
Ok, great thanks. The ones that are 91mb, more than likely contain images.
If you are unable to email, then a support agent on Monday should be able to do a screen share with you.
I was thinking they have images, but I can't see any. I've tried deleting portions of the drawing to try to see if the file size changed, but it doesn't. Super weird.
That is strange. If you go to the MacDraft menu and select About MacDraft. There is a section in there that tells you the object count?
It says 361
Even stranger. I wonder what is causing the large file size. If you open the file and then use Save As to save a copy, does the file size stay the same?
Also at the top of this page there is a Start New Topi option, could you open a new topic for this discussion please, so that we don't get lost in amongst the other replies?
OK, I just sent a screenshot to the support email for reference.
Is there a place in MacDraft Pro v 6.2 (About dialog box, Preferences, or Help menu) where I can select "check for updates"?
@randyvt. Apologies for the late reply, but at the moment there is no check for updates option. It is something that we are hoping to add in a future version. :)
