If I have a private forum, why would I also use Slack? If I use Slack, why would I use Muut?

It depends on what you're using the private forum for. Slack is great for internal team messaging on day to day work. It can greatly reduce the amount of inter-office emails you might be sending. Private forums are perfect for clubs, hobbyists, groups, or even paid customer support channels among other things. If you're using Slack then our integration allows you to close Muut and still receive real-time information about new posts, direct messages, and other data about your forum and broadcast it to a channel or user. If you're currently using Slack and not using Muut and have the need for a anything I mentioned above (private forum for a group, customer support, etc...) then Muut can help fulfill that need and integrates seamlessly into your current workflow.

The Slack integration requires the medium plan.

FYI Images in this blog post only seem to work when logged in.

Can't get the integration to work. Says my username/password for Slack is wrong when I try to authenticate. Logged out of Slack and signed back in just to confirm I had it correct. Not sure what to try next.

I'm unable to recreate the issue. Just to clarify what is happening you open settings and go to integrations, then click "configure slack". You're taken to a new page where you may have to login to Muut again. After that you should be taken to Slack where you choose your slack team to integrate with. If you're already logged into Slack you should see your team name and not have to login to Slack at all. After choosing your team you can either authorize or deny the integration. At that point you're taken back to Muut. You should be picking a Slack team before logging into Slack. But, that's all internal to Slack and outside of our control. Let me know if that's where you had the issues. We may have to contact Slack support at that time since any issues there would be on their end.

How do embed Mutt on an angularjs page?

Welcome to Muut! You might try [searching the forum](!/?angular) for other angular threads. I'm not really an Angular user myself but I know we've got others using angular who have embedded Muut and provided examples on the forum. If the searches don't help much and you still have questions then [post a question on our forum]( and we'd be happy to help further!

Requiring the medium plan for this is too much. Please allow it to be used on lower plans.
