Thanks, Darren; glad you're loving the new version. :) It'd be awesome if you would leave a positive rating/review at the [plugin page]( at; we haven't gotten too much feedback there, and it can really make a difference for people who are browsing plugins. Rock on!

Thanks, Gil! Sounds like people are really liking the update—glad you know you are as well. It'd be awesome if you were able to leave a good rating/brief review of the plugin over at the WordPress [plugin page](; every little bit of positive feedback helps get Muut out to more and more people! As for notifications—what is it you're thinking? I'm not sure I understand, but I definitely am interested in the thought; we're always open to (and indeed interested in) hearing new ideas of ways we can improve the plugin as we move forward. Thanks again for the positive words! Great to know that people are happy with the update. :-)

Not at all a dumb question! We know there are lots of people out there who use Disqus and are looking for other options. We've been written about as one of the best alternatives for people looking for other options than Disqus for WordPress commenting and forums [like on this blog](, and in our experience so far, the users who have tried out Muut really do love it and stick with it The good news is you can totally try it for free and decide for yourself! If you have any trouble, definitely hit us up on our [forum](—we're always ready to help, and members of the community who use Muut often will reach out and lend a helping hand as well. Let us know how you like it!

And yeah, the whole real-time aspect of Muut is one of the things that makes it so powerful and a great asset to a community; I saw you typing too!

I run a large network of sites.. and we use a melange of wordpress, buddypress, bbpress, and disquss .. the reasons are: 1) I like the feeling of "owning my user base" 2) Its fairly "white labeled" 3) Disqus is primarily used as a link to&fro external properties like tumblr and the like and adds a layer of convenience for us ~ it also serves very well for certain types of users who doesnt want to commit yet to another signon account.. 4) very specific sub-segments of our userbase find the functionality of bbpress useful ***TO BE HONEST*** I need a different solution simply because i spend way too much time "sysadmin'ing" instead of chilling with my communities

That makes sense. Not to be too much of a salesman, but you mention not wanting to have to deal with "yet another signon account". One of the things that Muut offers with a Developer subscription is a "Single Sign-On"; it makes it so that members of your website don't even have to create a Muut account. Their account is automatically (and totally transparently) used for their Muut commenting. So if the user is logged onto your WordPress website with their account there, once SSO is set up, they won't have to log in to anything else whatsoever in order to participate in the Muut-powered discussions, comments, and forum on your website. The WordPress plugin makes setting SSO up a breeze. One question—you mention a large network—are you actually using a WP Multisite/Network setup? Or are they just a bunch of websites within a community? It shouldn't at all hinder you from using Muut, just interested to know about any Networked sites using Muut as it is on the roadma p to make sure we have an extra easy setup for an entire multisite setup straight from the network admin. Anyway, it does sound like you and Muut might be an awesome fit. Definitely try it out on one of your sites!

sorry.. didnt mean to "hijack" the thread.. - we have a few setup as MU (multiuser/multisite - network) * but its a dog on the VPS's so I dont do that anymore - besides it becomes a mess when dealing with plugins Quick question... so with buddypress (user creates an account); automatically works with BBPress instance.. with this setup we are able to create a "group" and its own "forum" - this gives us flexibility in many ways such as: 1) users can have very group specific discreet conversations 2) users can have an overview "gist" of whats going on "overall" 3) it helps us manage "just right-now-time conversations", "overall theme specific conversations", "whats important~trending", & "relevance" *the question* "can groupings of conversations be segmented" "are there notions of groups" (it looks like channels on muut) i just realized that it aggregates the conversations here!/feed

No problem! I just started a thread for us in the WordPress channel on our forum so we can keep the discussion going there. [Here it is.](!/wordpress:answering-some-wp-questions) Glad you're excited about Muut!
