Slack integration problem

Tue, 17 Oct 2017 10:20:58 GMT

I'm trying to connect our forum to Slack and when I get to the Slack authentication page I don't see a login form. I just get a Login title and a blank page ( see image) [Muut slack authenticate blank](// I've tried being both already logged in to Slack and not being logged in and also a different browser (I've tried Chrome and Safari) and I get the same blank page.

Could you try it again? I just tested things and it seemed to work as expected on my test community

Still the same for me... I can see there is an iframe displayed on the page but it contains no content. [Screen Shot 2017-10-18 at 14](//

That's really strange! I'm not able to replicate that behavior at all. Gonna pass it over to another team member and see what we can find

Thanks, let me know if you need anything else from me

OK, found the issue. It's due to secure embedding since that login is not produced as a signed window. Turn off "allow embedding with secret key only" here on [your settings page]( temporarily, then run the Slack integration. After you're done with that, you can turn it back on.

Hi Monika, Thanks for the tip. This did work and now I have muut forum posts arriving in a Slack channel which is helpful as it means communications can be kept in one place and shared within our team. I haven't been able to set up the Slack command to take replies posted to Slack back into the Muut forum. I've tried the suggested details in the set-up instructions but can't get them to work. Basically nothing appears in the muut forum. I'm also not entirely clear how this would work as I don't see how the Muut forum topic is set for these posted Slack messages go into? Slack commands don't appear to work in Slack threads which would seem to be the obvious way this would work.

When the post appears on your slack next to it should be a 3 character ID, then you'd use your reply command plus the ID to reply, it'd look something like this `/muutreply uwx hey guys! love the new haircut` You should then get a notification of some kind on your slack app about the reply
