We are potentially interested in subscribing to your forums service. Can you tell me which of the features below you offer? Ability to limit access to a group of registered users for posting and the ability to see forum content Ability for users to subscribe and unsubscribe Ability to pin certain threads at the top of the forum Ability to search the forums Ability to add some configurable attributes or tags to posts Ability for a user to indicate whether they want to receive individual notifications for any new posts Ability to a user to indicate they want to receive a daily digest of all new posts. Ability to add attachments Ability to create polls Ability to view usage statistics Administration / moderator tools Ability to upvote post Ability to filter to view unanswered posts Ability to respond via e-mail vs. logging in to forum We are looking to potentially set up a few closely related forums based on specific topics. If we were to separate our topics into a few separate forums would your fees be applied to each forum?

Hi there! Most of what you're looking for is possible. I'll just go through your list one by one. Please note that these answers are for the turnkey Muut system. If you're interested in the [developer focused API](https://muut.io), all of these things will be possible but you'd need to build out your own system: > @bikerider > Ability to limit access to a group of registered users for posting and the ability to see forum content Muut has a members-only feature which affords you the ability to approve or reject access to people who request access. We also support SSO/Federated ID. Which means that if your website has an existing user authentication/login system, you might be able to link Muut into it and control access to the forum via locked pages on your own site. >Ability for users to subscribe and unsubscribe Not quite sure what you mean here. But it sounds like you're asking if users can request notifications for new posts. This is possible by a user clicking on their profile photo in the upper right corner of the forum dashboard. After that, they click to approve notifications for all "new threads". This will not notify them for all new replies, though. Only new threads. >Ability to pin certain threads at the top of the forum This is not supported >Ability to search the forums Yes, Muut has a search bar at the top of the forum >Ability to add some configurable attributes or tags to posts This is only supported in the developer API [by using metadata](https://muut.io/blog/building-social-apps-with-io). It's one of the flagship features of the system >Ability for a user to indicate whether they want to receive individual notifications for any new posts By clicking the eye icon, or by contributing to a thread, users can receive notifications for all new contributions to that specific thread >Ability to a user to indicate they want to receive a daily digest of all new posts. This doesn't happen. They'll receive notifications of posts as they come in. Over time, if they are not visiting the forum the notifications will slow down and become digests >Ability to add attachments Muut gives users the ability to attach photos, but other files types are restricted >Ability to create polls This is not supported >Ability to view usage statistics Muut supports google analytics integration >Administration / moderator tools At the time of writing this reply, moderators can retire threads, delete content, ban users, and move threads to different locations. It's possible the suite of tools available to the turnkey communities have access to will expand, but there are no announcements at this time >Ability to upvote post Users can "like" a post. You can then view the number of likes a thread or post has. But we do not have a voting system beyond that >Ability to filter to view unanswered posts This is not supported in the turnkey system. [Sorting/filtering](https://muut.io/blog/metadata-sorting-filtering) is also a major feature of our Developer API >Ability to respond via e-mail vs. logging in to forum This is not supported in the turnkey product. There are no current plans to include this feature >If we were to separate our topics into a few separate forums would your fees be applied to each forum? Billing for the basic forums is per community. Only the developer API gives you the ability to have multiple projects for a single price. I hope that answers your questions. Feel free to email us if you've got any more questions :)

Hi bikerider, did you finally pick Muut for your platform, or did you find another one? My organisation shares many of your requirements, including a need for email/mailing list integration. Thanks. Muut, if you have any progress in that area, please advise. Thanks.
