A user of mine uploaded an image in a post to my embedded forum. The image was in the form of a link:
[Screen Shot 2017-03-23 at 9](//muut.com/u/moot/s3/:moot:cD7t:screenshot20170323at9.17.52am.png.jpg)
You can see the image title and also: "(//muut.com/u/beatpcoscommunity/s1/:beatpcoscommunity:OH"
Once you select "show more" it shows this:
[Screen Shot 2017-03-23 at 9](//muut.com/u/moot/s3/:moot:uVoP:screenshot20170323at9.18.03am.png.jpg)
I dont mind the image title showing in the link, but I do not like that it shows the muut.com URL - "(//muut.com/u/beatpcoscommunity/s1/:beatpcoscommunity:OH". How do I make it so this does not appear when people post images?

This is an artifact of how markdown interacts with the post truncation. Basically, markdown processing happens _after_ the text is displayed. So that means without the closing parenthesis — which in this example is after the cut — it shows as an incomplete image link.
It'll happen anytime the image gets posted just before the truncation.
