Slanted joints

I've been playing around with my new pantorouter today and all of the M&T seem to be slanted slightly downward. I'm not sure what could be causing this. Any ideas from the community?

There are two reasons this could happen. First is the template holder is not dead level and second is the router is not concentric in the router mount. Please review the setup procedure for the template holder. It needs to be flushed to the tops of the posts and bought tight to the posts with the lever knobs before tightening the holder (horizontal piece with three grooves) to the side slider angles. If this is dead on and you're still seeing a difference side to side, it's the router. Routers don't need to be perfectly concentric in their shell to work well in other applications, but they do in order to get the precision we expect from the PantoRouter. We can adjust the side-to-side level by installing shims under the operator's side glide shaft mounts. If you didn't receive a set of shims in your package, please contact me and we'll mail a set today. By the way, we can't see contact information for those posting to the forum so we need to ask. Always feel free to shoot us an email and we'll get back to you as soon as possible. Thank you! Mac Sheldon [email protected]

Thanks mac, problem solved. When using the workpiece to set the thickness gauge I was only tightening one side. Leaving the entire template holder ever so slightly skewed. I will chalk this one up to watching too many of Matthias' videos which make things look faster and smoother than they really are, and rushing ahead of myself out of pure excitement. Lesson for any newbies out there...tighten both sides...even if they only use one side in the videos. Kyle.
